Fresh from conducting an interview with Zara Margolis from ABC radio North West at Mount Isa on Friday 6th October, Scott was back in the studios on Wednesday, recording an interview with Angus Peacocke, the morning presenter on ABC Capricornia, which covers the Rockhampton, Gladstone and Emerald areas of Central Queensland. Due to logistics, the pre-record was done with the assistance of ABC Townsville in one of their studios, remotely connected to Gladstone.
Back on the Author Talk trail, a very successful evening was held under the veranda at the Cloncurry Unearthed Visitor Centre on Monday evening. This is a fabulous museum, well-worth a look if you are travelling through the region. A bunch of enthusiastic people enjoyed the show, and even though the sun had set, it was still 40 degrees on the veranda. By the time he finished, Scott resembled a rock-star, so drenched was he in sweat!
Between the Mount Isa show on the Friday, and Cloncurry on Monday, Scott enjoyed exploring the region visiting the former Uranium mine at Mary Kathleen – a remarkable sight, followed up with a refreshing dip at the picturesque Chinaman’s Creek Dam just outside Cloncurry, but boy, it’s only October and its Hot!
